COVID 19 SAFETY MEASURES

Rock Your Locks will do a soft opening beginning 5/18.  I will be reaching out to everyone that had an appointment scheduled since March 15th.  I won’t be seeing as many people as I usually do in a day, so I am asking for your patience as I get everyone in.  My #1 PRIORITY is safety, for you, me and our families.  With this in mind, there will be new guidelines in place to ensure a smooth and safe appointment.  I want to thank you for your understanding and cooperation, because it’s going be different for the time being, but we’re going to make it work. PLEASE RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER ARE FEELING ILL. 

 

Salon arrival

  • Please text me from your car upon arrival, when I am ready, I will text you and you can come to the suite.  Please stay in your car until I let you know I’m ready.

  • No guests waiting in the lobby to promote social distancing. 

  • Please no guests at this time and no children at your appointment until further notice.

  • All guests must wear masks in the salon common areas (hallways, bathroom) and during service.

  • Please ensure the mask goes around your ears and not tied around the head, a disposable mask is best if we are doing color, I can’t guarantee color will not get on mask.  I have a few to sell, but not many due to the shortage.  Please bring your own if possible.  

  • Upon entry, please sanitize your hands or go to the restroom to wash your hands.  

  • I will take your temperature in my suite.  Temperature must be 99 or below to have services done.  

 

During Service 

  • Please only bring your phone, method of payment and a drink if you wish, no food, I am trying to limit items coming into the salon.  

  • Your chair will be disinfected before your arrival (as it always was).

  • I will have a clean/disinfected kit prepared for every client, the kit will include

    • A disposable cape

    • Neck strip

    • A biodegradable, disposable towel

    • Disinfected comb

    • Gloves for myself

    • Disinfected bowls and brush for color

    • You can use the towel to cover your face during the shampoo if needed.

Payment

  • I will use a non contact payment method in the salon, if you prefer an invoice let me know.

  • ApplePay, GooglePay, credit cards are best, no cash

 

What I will be doing 

  • I will not come to work if I or a family member becomes ill

  • Wearing a mask and/or face shield when I shampoo (or I can provide one to you if you'd like)

  • Washing my hands as soon as I enter the salon and in-between every client

  • Disinfect all surfaces in-between clients

  • I’ll be wearing a new apron for every client 

  • Wearing gloves during the entire service

  • Prepping disinfected client kits for every client 

  • 15-30 minutes in-between clients to thoroughly clean and disinfect

  • And giving a ton of air high5’s and air hugs

Suite changes

  1. All magazines, unnecessary décor and paper products have been removed.

  2. The self-serve beverage station has been suspended.

  3. As a salon, we will all be helping in sanitizing the front door handles.  

  4. No waxing temporarily.

 

These changes are based on what our licensing and regulation has provided and you, my clients have provided to me would make you feel more comfortable in the salon.  If you want to wait to come in, I hear you, I see you and I will be here for you when the time is right.  I appreciate your patience during this time and I can’t wait to see you!  XOXO GRACIE
